Travel to Steamboat Springs, CO

I'm back!!

To tell the truth, I do so much research before my work and personal travel and have taught myself so many tips and tricks that many do not know!

I will be updating as much as possible this year, I will share everything that I could not find online!

First and foremost, my husband has a companion pass to Southwest with me. Listen up, this is how you can earn one as well. Sign up for a Southwest card, get the best offer possible with the initial points offering: Earn up to 40,000 bonus points with any Southwest Rapid Rewards personal Credit Card. Business owners can earn up to 80,000 bonus points with Southwest Rapid Rewards business Credit Cards. I can be rewarded too, learn more.

Second, use it as your debit card and rack up lots of points. Third, book your hotels on SW.com for TONS of extra points, up to 10k per night. You will be a rockstar within 6-8 months, companion pass for a year is an amazing way to travel. GREAT news, you can book your flight with those points and still bring along your companion and even change your companion upto 3 times!

So, we are booked for Steamboat Springs this April and can't wait to breathe that mountain air. You will fly into Denver and then a short flight will take you directly into the mountains of Steamboat. Note: I get vertigo driving through mountains, so this is huge for me. We will catch an uber once we arrive (car rental is very high and the vertigo thing) and stay at our amazing Airbnb at the ski park. I have already booked our tickets to Strawberry Springs - it is amazing y'all.

Stay tuned for the update on our daily activities, eateries and shopping tips!

Planning a FIRST Trip to Europe

Pre-planning my trip to Europe!

My mom always wanted to travel to London and Paris, she had literally traveled the world and had never made it to those two spots.
She passed away in January from cancer and our mother-daughter-granddaughter's trip crashed. Two months post death, she yelled at me one evening during my grief and told me to book the trip to Europe. You see, my youngest is graduating high school this May and we had all planned on taking her to Europe for her first trip and mine. I stepped into high gear and started booking our trip via some funds she bequeathed me.

This will be a blog in progress, I am a researcher by nature and I want to have the optimal experience on a modest budget. I would appreciate any and all suggestions to make our trip lovely and full filling.
I have booked our flights (which I agonized over for a week) and we will be flying via BA into London Gatwick and out of Paris CDG. I have also booked our accommodations in the Kensington- Earl's Court area for London and a gorgeous flat in Paris for we 3 blonds! I can't seem to decide on a train time via Eurostar....nor seats. We 3 love architecture, food, shopping, museums and anything the locals love...We however are not big tourists and we loathe tourist traps, attractions and most of all do not want to look like one.
We have decided to pack light and beautiful, no tacky tourist clothes including fanny packs or sun visors!! Please chime in on your favorites and I will update as I book this amazing trip in July 2017, alongside photos and reviews of our stops and accommodations.

Eurostar train tickets purchased! 90 Days out and they were still a reasonable price, basic seats at $75.00 each and I've heard the food is nothing special with the upgraded tickets, which would have cost an additional 95.00 for both. We will want to choose our own food anyway, so I'm sure we can find something scrumptious to pack in our carry on bags.
We will be departing London at a time when I hope we won't interfere with commuter traffic, yet arrive in Paris while it's still light enough to walk to our Airbnb. I have google mapped our walk as well as our neighborhood, amazing cafe's and lovely restaurants abound.

Up next.....mapping out our trip and itinerary. Packing lists....and money exchange!

Who says you can't be a fashionista over 40?

Someone under 30, I'm sure of it! I've always had great style and taste, from personal style to home decorating to party planning. I love the small details, the finishing touches the things that make people say wow! I'm constantly looking for great products for my aging skin, my dry hair and my hypothyroid conditions. I've decided to blog here along side my :verymaryjewelry.com blog to help others find a way to be fabulous over 40! I don't feel old everyday..... especially on the days my 15 year old daughter steals my clothes, shoes or makeup. Or when my 25 year old visits and raids my closet! I love a combination of styles, from vintage designer- trendy accessories- leather rock and roll. My goal is to blog daily to include outfits and beauty advice, please post any questions or concerns you are having with your own style or problem and maybe together we can find a solution! EVERYONE is welcome here, ALL ages, Let's have fun!!
